I've been running my show on a network of Pi zero W's, with capes. It used to run fine, but now that we can run 4 ports off a cape rather than two and my show has grown, I think I'm hitting some limits. I'm seeing some freezing for part of the prop as complex sequences run, which looks a bit...
I’m celiac so gluten free would be appreciated if possible. Only coming on Saturday but also for dinner. If it’s hard, let me know and I can self cater for lunch. Most places for dinner would have some option. Just prefer if it’s not a single gf+halal+vegan+df=cardboard menu item, for all us...
Happy to talk on the power/pi/sound obscure bug that nearly killed my show last year, and the learnings from it. I’m also building a 3D narnia lamp in neon flex and dumb pixels if that’s of interest.
Would love it someone has done the FPP jukebox feature and was willing to share how it worked...
Perfect - thanks. That's what I did initially, and then saw this and didn't know how to use it. I'll turn it back off. And yes, the controllers visualisation has it correct with half to each port.
Please can I get some advice on how to adjust the setting "set up zig zag" in the matrix model. It's not covered in the manual at all.
I've got a 1680 pixel matrix. 2 sections, each 28 pixels high and 30 pixels wide. Pixels are run in columns up and down each section. Settings below...
Graham, if you don't get another offer, I can come down Friday - @abundy saw you'd offered as well. I'm in Box Hill, so depends who it's easier for. I'm also just out the other side of Covid so no infection risk if it's in your family!
I can also go Saturday early and help @mikey set up, and...
Graham - we're just a few days out now. This will be my first mini and I have no idea how they work. Is there a plan, an agenda, anything I can do to help, any guidance on what would make most sense to bring to talk about.
I had the dreaded 'rona last week, and out of iso now and raring to...
Hey - thanks for the feedback. I don't have resistor pixels so looked at specs on a few sites which all said it's 0.24W/channel = 0.72W. Is there a video or some measurement you can point to that shows the actual power consumption for resistor pixels?
Mark, can I interpret that as saying I can run pixels off a single power input until I exceed 7.5A (wire safety rating for 18AWG I think), or the voltage drops to 6.7V using the Spiker lights calculator? http://spikerlights.com/calcpower.aspx. Regulated pixels are 0.64W, and effective wire...
Super interested to learn about Coro and prop mounting solutions - thanks DJ. I've got a pair of selfie wings and a garden arch, and somehow need to get the two combined.
So looking forward to it. I've got one more to offer if people are interested - I got a 3D printer for Christmas and have started designing and printing brackets.
I can bring a couple for show and tell -
