I figured. Essentially I just need to rotate each screen 180 degrees and it'll be perfect. Hopefully someone will come along soon with the setting that may fix this. I'm not really familiar with LED Vision so I'd hate to just start changing random settings.
I could physically do that, but...
So close, just upside down with a flicker. Interestingly when I unplug the CAT cable the flicker goes away completely. Perhaps it's trying to refresh the screen when no new data is being sent?
Edit: I used FPP to turn the orientation around and just have some mirroring issues now. Someone...
Making more progress. There's gotta be an easier way but at least things are coming into focus now.
I setup my panels according to the arrows on the back of the panels, but so far my software doesnt agree with that order.
Back to the drawing board...
Well, made a little progress today. Got the software up and running and was able to get to Intelligent Testing following the video above.
When he got to the solid line across the top, mine was actually in the lower half of the top panel, so I'm guessing some setting is off there.
Completing...
OK, this is getting to be a little bit frustrating. I downloaded several versions of the software and can't even get it extracted. Apparently the compressed folders are encrypted and the password of 168 is not working.
Anybody have advice for the correct password or an uncompressed version...
Its not even December. Woke up this morning to some presents on the porch.
They look great, but dang do my fingers hurt from pushing pixels. One MOAW to go...
Having a little trouble with the software side of this P5 panel (maybe that's because it's 4am and I've been up since 1).
I've followed a YouTube video by Greg Macaree, but I've not been as successful as he has been in the video. Throwing a few screenshots below...
So what I've done so far...
Of course nothing's ever easy... I can't run LED Vision from my work laptop so I'll have to lug this panel up to my son's computer.
I did go through the FPP configuration that online tutorials walkthrough. Got up to the point where I can hit Test Pattern and see the screen layout except my...
I have that software already. Guess I didn't watch that far in the YouTube instructional yet, but I'll do that now.
FYI, I have 2 350W power supplies going to 16 cards. When I ran the test colors off the Colorlight board and put everything to white (I don't know if that's full white as...
Got everything wired up and the test button on the 75E works!
Unfortunately the Pi4 I ordered was defective (I should have known when Amazon shipped me a previously used device), but I have a new one coming today to get the software side of this complete!
This is a good place to be for starting out. I'm in the same boat, 2026 will be my first year. Aiming big though with 12000 pixels + a mega tree so we'll see how this all comes together!
Feel free to ask lots of questions. The guys on here are very knowledgeable (not me, but others ;)) and...
@merryoncherry ...so you were right, I am taking on more projects. Gotta have something to keep busy :)
I bought 16 outdoor P5 panels and have them all screwed and wired, waiting for an "enclosure". I saw a number of designs on the forums of various builds so once the weather warms up a bit...
Cool, never saw that option before!
I did render before, and check sequence had a bunch of warnings but no errors.
Going to try check source effects after work today!
