I have about 6 3x3m trees to decorate.
I dont want to just put RGB string lights throughout the trees as I have them in many other places and it doesn't look that special.

I wondered this as well, so David you are saying one can just cut and then solder and then heatshrink the wires, like i used to do for my car stereo wiring to extend the cables from last bulb to transformers? I mean beyond the power plug that goes into 240V its all 12V right? so no more...

It seems the better option even the silicone and flat on Cable tie mounts, simply because you can get right onto the curve of the very top of the ridge cap.
