    ECG PPR-B

The PPR-B's are pretty straightforward, really not a whole lot you have to do with them other then attach wires to them. I'm running 11 of the 12 outputs on my P12D to PPR-B's running 12v pixels. One thing I should mention is that the connections can be finnicky on the p12d if you're running the...

    New Wu Technicolor pixels

I had 10 sets of the black ones last year and all 10 sets failed. Ray didn't ship the replacements until the end of Oct, but I got all green this time. I've had them up on the house and running for a couple weeks so far and they were running from the time I took them out of the box until I put...

    Frustrated with all sequencing software

Ultimately this would be less of an issue if there was a single app or suite of apps that did everything we wanted them to do without the headaches, issues or otherwise. That said, aside from the bundled xml parsers on most platforms, I don't see why everyone insists on using a markup language...

    Macro Effects blurring

I've been trying to convert my show over to LSP from LOR since LOR's visualizer keeps corrupting my files effectively making it almost impossible to sequence anything and I'm having a huge problem with Macros. Everytime I try to use a macro on a layer the effect will render as it should for most...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

Well, after waayy too much time messing with this I finally figured out the problem, as it was somewhat of a perfect storm of issues that kept me from pinpointing it. It turns out that all three of the new 12v power supplies I ordered this year are junk. The reason that I didn't catch the...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

I've tested voltage coming off the board, at the strip and when powering the strips directly from 2 different power supplies and only running data from the board. Same result in all cases. At this point I really don't know what else to try, I've spent almost 15 hours trying to diagnose this...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

Yes.. I've checked, re-checked, and then checked again all connections. I've also tried switching the wiring in case something was mislabeled, and instead of wiring up all the strips, I cut off one of the factory connectors and connected it directly to the p12 so I could test all of the strips...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

Another thing I just noticed is that no matter the power source, all of these strips are nowhere near as bright as my working 5v 2811 strips, they are maybe 1/4 the brightness, even if I plug them both into the same port (w/ different power sources of course).

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

Here are some screenshots of the config.. I've tried just about everything I can think of, including wiring configurations, power from the board/direct, and every possible setting in the config screens and nothing works.. all I get is red for every strip. To see if it was possibly the board I...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

Yes, power is fine, checked with a multimeter coming off the p12 and have also tried with them powered directly from a 12v power supply. Also tried different wiring combinations as well. I have the same results on every port of the p12 with every strip I've tried. I really don't know what else...

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

grb as far as I can tell, though with only the red lighting up I can't be sure. Mapping the effect in the p12 config to rgb->grb at least puts red as the first slider when using xlights to test, if I switch it to rgb->brg it puts red as the last slider.

Pulling my hair out.. need some help

I need a little help here as I'm going crazy trying to get this years stuff set up. The problem I'm having is that all of my RGB strip (http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/5m-led-digital-strip-DC12V-input-WS2811IC-256-scale-10pcs-IC-and-30pcs-5050-SMD-RGB/701799_568458133.html) will only...

    Jumping into pixels in 2013

It's possible to go from DMX to WS-whatever, you would just need a protocol converter for each string/512 universe of pixels. It's not very economical to do this since they run $15-$20 each, but if you can't use E1.31 it's really your only option, though it'd probably be cheaper to replace your...
