    WS2811 Flood lights?

I have a several of PixLite 16 controllers, a Pixlite 4, and a several Falcon F16V2s. They all have DMX outputs. I use a Pixlite 16 to run these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10W-RGB-DMX-flood-light-DC12V-input/550392656.html I cut off the XLR connections and use standard 3-wire pigtails...

Random color flickering and sections not lighting

The random flickering issues went away by themselves so, it looks like it was due to something getting wet. Thanks for all of your help! Tom

Random color flickering and sections not lighting

BTW, I read about the issues ShellNZ and others had due to the WS2811 vs WS2812B timing differences and the changes Advatek made to the timings in the firmware for the PixLite 16 so, I am running the latest 1.4.0 firmware.

Random color flickering and sections not lighting

Sorry, for some reason the chipset in the original post was in really small characters. ...edited. They are the silicon covered 5050 SMD LEDs with the WS2812B chipset. I have a PixLite 16 driving them using WS2811 with the "fast" setting. I tested first in Vixen with update settings running...

Random color flickering and sections not lighting

I have several 5V WS2812B strips to mount on my roof line. Yesterday, I mounted two of them with 142 pixels each. Prior to installation, I had tested everything thoroughly and everything worked with no problems. I did not get around to firing them up until today and now they are acting...

    WS2811 Voltage Drop Issues

There may have been an electrical issue too. It was the flickering lights that sent me in that direction. but I guess messing with all the connections cleared that part up. Thanks for your help guys.

    WS2811 Voltage Drop Issues

You are exactly right. I was so sure I had it configured right, I just went straight to thinking it was an electrical issue. I was originally testing the lights with Vixen. (configured correctly), but after I buried them, I decided to used XLights, and in my hast, I selected 31 channels, not...

    WS2811 Voltage Drop Issues

I just ran a 12AWG data line from the controller to the point past where the issues were occurring and once again, it lights up about 11-12 lights. I then moved the data line down another 12 and I still get the same thing. Only about 12 lights light up.

    WS2811 Voltage Drop Issues

No but, I buried it in waterproof PVC electrical conduit. Only two or three inches are exposed between each electrical box and light.

    WS2811 Voltage Drop Issues

Hi, I am trying to build some landscaping path lights using RGB pixels. I bought some low voltage landscape path lights from my local hardware store and replaced the lights with 12V WS2811 RGB modules. I am running 12 AWG low voltage landscape wiring injecting power to each light along the...

    Recommendations for Controlling White Floodlights

Thanks guys! I just needed someone to confirm my thought process. I guess I am just lacking in self confidence at this stage of the game.

    Recommendations for Controlling White Floodlights

I want to put up some very bright white floodlights that will face the viewing audience along the corners of my house and along the roof line that can be used for a controlled strobe-like effect very similar to what Creative Lighting Displays did here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zjXr6Qnpcw...

Question about usage of PixLite16's DMX in/out

Thanks, I will be eagerly awaiting the 3.2 firmware. It is a great controller as is. ...and you can count me in for one of the new 3.3 boards. Excellent! That would have saved me some hassles this season. I was having some issues getting Vixen to behave and I was about to blame it on the...

Question about usage of PixLite16's DMX in/out

So, it sounds like, for the moment, the DMX in/out cannot be used at all? That is not a problem. Thanks for the information!
