Hi Yall!
We currently have a F4V3 Pixel Controller and I thought that the DMX port could plug directly into a 4-String Differential Smart Receiver Board, unfortunately ive learnt that this will only address one port on the smart receiver.
Short of buying a differential expansion board, does...
Thanks everyone, especially @keithsw1111 and @Katekate. I feel stupid posting the PDF that showed the issue, we actually looked at it and didnt pick out the problem.... sometimes you cant see the forest for the trees!
Thanks again guys, Happy Xmas!!!
Its wired same as the node layout, goes up the tree then across to the closest node then back down the tree then across to the next string and back up, so on and on.
I even went and made this fill effect....
Looks fine in xLights, but on the tree string one is up one pixel and string two is down one pixel string 3 is up one pixel and so on like this...
again sorry for the poor paintbrush illustration.
So the tree has 16 strings made up of 74 nodes per string. I have also attached a node layout PDF
Ran the Tools > Check Sequence and it was as below...
Checking sequence.

So i have received my pixels and the PSU but im still waiting on the controller, i got too excited and couldn't wait so...
Hi ACL,
I have seen several people wiring the GND to the -V on PSU's...
I didnt just want to do it because it seems like the norm, I would like to know the logic behind it?
Cheers
