Hi everyone, wanted to share my experience trying to make a cheap matrix with 5v seeds. I decided to use this board from bunnings and pair that up with my Falcon F16V3 controller that would run the 5v seeds through 4 ports (for the whole board) resulting in a 90 row and 49 columns matrix. I used power injection every 200 pixels with a global brightness of 20% and was able to achieve the display shown in the video. Hope y'all like it!

This is awesome!!

I was thinking of using the clear polycarbonate roof sheeting to redo my solar panel matrix. Until the cost turned me off it.

But knowing it turns out this good is making me budget for it next year!

Wow that's turned out well. No hot glue or anything!

Any more videos of it doing some effects etc.

WHY DO YOU GUYS MAKE ME SPEND MONEY - NOW IM HYPERFIXATED ON A SEED MATRIX

Me too but luckily I have no where to put more stuff :)

Great work Jon! I experimented with the 10mm Polycarb option (https://www.bunnings.com.au/suntuf-...-grey-twinwall-polycarbonate-roofing_p1010772) but returned it as I couldnt find a way to keep the seeds from twisting in the channels. I missed this option in Bunnings' inventory.
Do the seeds fit snugly inside the channels, or still get a bit of turning/kinks?
Did you find the twist to actually cause any discernible output difference? I am looking at using the clear version of the above. (https://www.bunnings.com.au/sunlite-10mm-twinwall-x-2-0m-clear-polycarbonate-roofing_p1010831)
Mind you, it wont be a square viewing angle so that might help matters.

Because I was putting it up against the garage door it caused a lot of light blooming as the pixels were at times more facing the door then than the street, and I wasnt happy with the effect. I could still make out the image, but it wasnt as uniform as I would have been happy with

Now I am wondering if you could 3d print a small clip to slide into the channel to keep the seed facing the right way, maybe put a clip in every so many pixels to just sort of keep them pointed correct.
