i have a set of lytworx stars with 150 lights that runs on 5 v and is 3 wire, and they look like 5v pebbles
the controller outputs 5V and 0.3V from the centre pin, which should be data line
i have hooked them up but they wont work on a normal pixel controller

Likely it's a different protocol. Would probably need some signal analysis on the supposed data line to see what they timing etc is like and if it matches one of the other protocols out there

From this board would the centre pin be data ?

Looks like the one with the 0 ohm link is the data line, as it's coming from the daughter-PCB. Follow the track. The other two, if you turn the board over, see the marking for the capacitor (circle with the slightly thicker black line on one side) sits right over the other 2 tracks, indicating power.

I put the deer's up on Facebook, the middle on them was data and the controller looked identical

Thaks guys , figured it out now, and YAY they are just standard seed string lights 5V sso now i dont have to pul them apart

I got the reindeer lytworx from bunnings, it's a bit agricultural but this is how I got them going on a pixel tester. Red +, yellow D and black -20241110_121501.jpg20241118_165112.jpg
