Ouch! Why did my FPP totally stop outputting lights today?

Hi all,

I've been playing with Xlights/FPP for a month, and everyday it all worked well as i learned more about each effect & feature.

Today, after assigning a new matrix, the whole thing refused to light any of my test props.
(2 props were working this morning while i was in the middle of assigned the 3rd matrix).

Then i noticed FPP was giving me the "abnormal" error. but i cleared some crappy channel settings for the matrix (my mistake) and the FPP error went away, but still nothing works overall!

I've closed Xlights completely, and running FPP, i can't even run the Test Lights option (like i used to).
I've stopped/started the FPPD and rebooted & shutdown the FPP-BBB player and now power cycled the FPP-BBB and i still can't even test lights.

Not sure what's up with this thing? it's been working fine for a month on my bench but today is ridiculous.

Is there anything else i need to enable/disable in FPP when not using Xlights to control it? i'm lost now.
 
Additionally, i discovered today that the FPP "health check" can't ping my gateway (local PC), it fails for some reason, but i can open the windows command box and ping my gateway 192.168.0.1 and my FPP 192.168.0.2 and both devices returns correct ping results, so i don't know why FPP can't ping correctly?

I'm using FPP 5.41 and have been using this version for the past few months with great success, until yesterday when something got corrupted.

As of today, i still can't use FPP on its own to do a simply light test and all my settings seem to be correct.....sigh.
 
So can you connect to that FPP at all? I had the same thing with an F16V5 last week, been running for 4 months perfectly, put it out to run the show and it would not work with any pi's, would not work on lan or direct wifi. I did a full reset and set it up exactly the same and away it went.

ok, repeating my first post:

Can you access the FPP browser portal?
Share some screen shots of your pixel outputs showing channels etc.

Did you ever backup your FPP config whilst it was working? If yes, perhaps try and restore from backup.
 
That is not a reset ( I mean force it to do a full factory reset ) and then reprogram it again
