Pebble seed colour issue

Hope some can help. Bought seed pixels from Ray Wu. Cannot work out why colour of seeds is washed out.
Have bought these previously without any issue.
Roll on right is original purchase. Left roll is latest purchase.
In photos , both rolls attached to same 350W power supply.
Have I ordered the wrong type ?

Thanks, looks like i have ordered the wrong item. i have basic setut and all my other items are 3 channel
 
Well, try setting to 4 channel just to confirm... but yeah it is probably a different item than you are used to. I am guessing someone will want them though, even if you don't.
 
They are usable, I prefer them over RGB as they use less power if you're wanting to use white in your display, as they've got a dedicated white led rather than standard RGB mixing to make white.
 
Thanks for reply. Can you utilise both 3 channel and 4 channel in Xlights at the same time ?
is there a site that outlines this process.
I have an Advatek Pixlite 16 controller
 
sorry if this is a basic question, but how do i tell my pixlite 16 that i only want 1 output to be RGBW,
and all the other outputs to be RGB ?
 
The pixlite doesn't really care except for running a test. In a show, it is just bytes of xx protocol. You might have to make sure the 4 bytes are being managed correctly.
