12v vs 5v strands

    What is the main difference between a 12v and 5v pixel strand? Just Trying to figure out which 1 would be best for me.

    pixel string alway use 5V

    pixel strip have 5v and 12v, the different is :

    5v : 1 led 1 indifity IC
    12v: 3 led a group, i griup 1 IC

    So pixel strings do not come in 12v? That makes it easy, thanks!
