Thanks for stepping up @djgra79 , those two topics (music theory for sequencing and music mixing) sound great!

Does anyone else have anything in mind that they would like to share or lead a discussion on?

Perhaps you've devised your own list of do's and don't's to make building and setting up your show easier, faster, or something like that. Or maybe you've built a prop, enclosure or something else that you are very proud of (and so you should be :) ) that you'd like to show off and even walkthrough how you built it.
Hey Ryan, I’m pretty proud of the reindeers I did last year so I will see if I can convince the grinch to set up a couple for display

Hi Ryan, Last year I did a short presentation on my singing Christmas trees. There were lots of good suggestions made which I incorporated in the final version. I wouldn't mind showing a short video of the final trees in use for a happy birthday song I did. But only if time permits! cheers

@thecrazylightlady @Kitman sounds great! Show and tell is nice to see. Do think there might be a talk in there somewhere? Such as the kind of pixels you used (bullets, square nodes, strip?) and why, problems you faced (if any) and how you overcame them, or anything else that influenced how you did the wireframe pixel conversion. :)

@Ralphyf1 Sure thing! Your original presentation is on YouTube so as an idea you could reference that (and I'll insert a video link for this year's) and continue/follow on from there, if you like? Singing Christmas Tree Redux/Improved/etc. :)

Please keep the ideas coming :D

I could put together a little talk about my reindeer, I also converted my Sleigh the previous year so could talk about that also if you wanted even though I haven't finished my sleigh the way I want yet.

Just let me know if you want me to do a talk.

damn it, why do I do this to myself lol.

Send me the required slide templates and I will make it up, unless you want me to just off the cuff it.

It is up to you really :). I'll have a template ready by this Thursday evening. It'll be 16:9 on a dark background, so white (or other light coloured) text is best.

My preso is now updated to ADL background too, thanks Ryan!
I figured as an interstate guest it would be a bit cheeky of me to have the MEL mini logo on the day :)

To everyone attending the mini in a few weeks, is there any video showing off your 2017 (or 2016) display that you'd be happy to share? We'd like to incorporate it into the mini weekend :). If you've added a video of your lights to the display videos area in the last year or two then I've already grabbed one of them (thanks for submitting it!).

Particularly for the following people, if you have a 2017 (or 2016) video then please do share :D
