So with the advent of the 2811 pixels being supported by J1Systems and San Devices would it be possible
then to make a Superstar tree and make it function similar to the one built from CCR's using either one of their boards and 2811s?

Thanks, Ed

Yes and this is what im planning on building, but ill be using LSP. As far as using superstar, Im not sure how LOR will implement E1.31 with superstar but due to the fact that superstar is made for controlling pixels then i would expect that this would function with any E1.31 compliant controller and would be the same sequencing process. The difference would be in the setting up of the comms and the controller in superstar.

Thanks Eddy,

With the 2811's and the controller should be pretty reasonable to build one vs. an all CCR tree.

Cosidering it will cost under $800 compared to over $2000 for the CCR option its well worth the extra effort

Can't wait ti get some 2811's and a E1.31 controller.

Very nice Ed, i am in the middle of planning a 12 strip tree myself this year, and for under $1000 for such a central focal piece ithink its now great value.

Thanks Eddy, this is my version for this year with a tight budget. It will have 4 strips which is 2 full strips cut in half. Hope to have the funds to do a 12 full strip next year.
Definitely will be a great focal piece. Can't wait to see your videos!
