nice work angus, was that done in Nutcracker or natively in HLS. Not sure it would work on my tree as smaller and lex pixels to carry effect. but striking to look at on your tree!!
Cheers Boof63
these are version 2 nutcracker effects customized in Hls.
these effects will scale to suit any size tree Boof.
I plan on building some baby mega trees for 2013 and will mirror their effects to the full size tree .
I would thik this could be done in LSP just as easily .
I have no experience with lsp but i assume it has a grid similar to hls you import the sequence from nutcracker and apply one over top of the other .
I create a dummy work group to create these effects . if you need a video tut let me know
cheers
this type of effect can now be done easily in xlights as a layered effect .
when generating effects in xlights just reverse the direction of the second effect .
In hls you can do as may layers as you like by dropping effects ontop of each other,
This works great for merging effects using ramps to transition from one effect to another seamlessly
