Ray's the only game in town for those. You have to look at higher end suppliers, which may or may not work with your controllers you have now.

I just got a few of these with the C9 covers, they look OK but I haven't tried them yet.

Paid the same and shipped to NZ in good time.

Those are TOTALLY different, than the technicolor from Ray. The DIY pixabulbs are in the LOR Cosmic Bulb housings, and I would be curious if it still has 4 holes for the wire or if the mold has been changed to 3.

Also the pixabulbs only come in faceted covers which are a different shape than standard christmas light covers. Ray has a number of different options, including frosted, which I find gives much better light distribution vs my pixabulbs in a different brand of LED's.

My biggest problem with these technicolour pixels was the failure rate. Left exposed to the elements they lasted one night. If Ray has fixed the problem I would like to order about 60mts worth of these.

The technicolour pixels I was original looking at were 60 cents each pixel and after some searching I found these

100pcs DC12V WS2811 LED pixel node, with transparent wire with good cold resistance ability
These are 40 cents a pixel 2/3 of the cost of the ones I originally inquired about.

Now because I want to buy about 8 packs of these I don't want them to fail again.
Has the water ingress problem been solved and the voltage problem been fixed as well? As you may remember last year we needed to turn down the 12v voltage as the string had some parts meant for 5v.

I believe this video was made last year but somehow most of us ended up getting dodgy pixels

The transparent ones are not uv protected either. I think it was the black wire, which cost more.

I would be interested in knowing how the bulb covers stand the test of time with UV. Has anyone had these out all year to see if the bulb covers discolour or become brittle

I only just started but I have a couple of Ray's pixels mounted out in the sun to see how they go. I have sprayed one of the pixels with krylon UV spray to compare the two over time. It's only been a couple of weeks now and they both still look the same.

I have also done the same with some Coro.

This will determine if I need to spray all my pixels and coro elements or not.
