What about a line like

CLAP - The type your happy to share with the neighborhood

Oh, I love that one... it does however need a bit of explanation on the back I think :)

or to change it a little.

CLAP - The type your neighborhood is happy for you to share.

CLAP - Your neighborhood will be happy for you to share it.

Definately a breakdown of the acronym is required.. perhaps below the quote in a smaller text.

I just made up a shirt last week for my own display and I was also wanting an ACL shirt. Here is an idea I had.

I like the back, easy to leave room for a name to be added by individuals so we can have a standard shirt.
Nice and simple.

Now to refine the front.

I think it would be worth adding a lighted panel such as those that Eddie was selling before his untimely passing.
Don't know if they are available now in Oz, but similar panels are available here. http://www.gadgets-n-gizmos.com/sound-activated-light-up-equalizer-shirt-fm007
Eddy was selling the shirts with el panel and sound activation for $20. I have used these in 2010 and the response was a great attention grabber - eg talking to people - tell them to CLAP (hands) and your shirt lights up.

There are endless possibilities for including something along these lines.

I think Eric form NT had this at the Brisbane mini, a great effect and something that would be great to wear when your out the front of your show.

seeing as the EL panel is detachable then it would be good to find the China source of the panel, and just attach to a shirt as required.

Here is the panel from my shirt. (I eventually found it to-day after missing Christmas)
It is 200 X 140 mm, attaches to shirt by velcro and has a sound activated controller (normall kept in pocket..)
There is an adjustment to the sound activation volume. Lights come on progressively from bottom.
Having found it, I will bring it to the Canberra meet.

That is cool.

Here's what i'm thinking.

Shirt with a back similar to Bevo's post with room allowed for people to add their name if desired.
The front of the shirt with a graphic design incorporating the masthead logo and some fairy light strings in various colours, sized so as the EL panel could be added by anyone wishing to do so.

The design would need to allow room for the velcro fasteners of course.

Geoff, could I get a photo of the back with some measurements.

This assumes these panels are all of a similar size.
