Hi All

I did hear that Alec will not be attending due to plastic surgery to remove the dead skin from the last server sunburn he received, it is a pity that he wont be attending but think we are now safer he will not be presenting the naked light installs without sunscreen presentation he has been working on.

Thankyou rob
An definitely yes , as I assume some others may not mind a bit of nudity as such ! But just thinking about alec in his birthday suit OH GEEZ !!!
Also alec enlightened with pixels as such I think it would be something we could never ever ever ever unsee! For such a plan to work I believe that we would have to have total darkness wich is not really suited towards xmas lighting!
Anyways so thankfully his presentation is not going ahead, as the therapy bills would be enormous!
Oh and no disrespect to you alec we think dearly of you but nah sorry
But maybe to get people more enthused about the àdelaide mini we could get strippers !
Mini fees will cost a little bit more !

Hi All,

Its now to be locked in - The Adelaide Social mini- will be help on Saturday June 15th from 9am to about 4.30pm
It will be held at the school as per last year.
The tentative agenda will include;
Coffee time
How to 3D or not to 3D in Xlights
Drones for photography , rules, regulations, examples - this will include a practical demonstration of a current technology drone
More coffee time
Show and Tell - New creations or ideas from attendees ( and others!)
What makes a good show - interactive discussion with samples
Newbies time - time to ask anything and everything
More coffee time
Prop design ideas and rooftop elements
Controller and software (eg Vixen and Xlights) current developments
Open mike - time to chat about anything and everything.

The emphasis on the day will be "social interaction" , so social discussions will take precedence over formal presentations if time becomes an issue.
On the Sunday you are welcome back to my place for a casual BBque if you are around the place

So tasks from here;
Can I have volunteers to;
1. Formally book the school for the Saturday and
2. Find out if there is a time on Saturday where there is no school sports so we can fly a drone
3. Book the Adelaide social min on the Xlights calendar of events
4. Arrange the coffee and lunch!
5. Do a short presentation on a topic from above or one of your own choosing
6. If possible submit to me a video of one of your shows songs or sequences
5. As soon as possible confirm attendance
7. Donate a prize so Daryl can run his excellent random prize draw!
8. Think of all the things I have missed and let me know!

Ok Thanks people's We are of and running, lets all get together and have a really good chinwag!

cheers, ralphy

Hi all,
If there are no other suggestions, and to keep the ball rolling;

I am happy to help arrange a 1 day social mini at the school on Saturday June 15.
So assuming no major issues, lets lock that in shall we?

I would envisage about a 9.30am start going to about 4.30pm(maybe a bit later)
I will pull together a flexible agenda from some of the comments already made in this and similar threads.
I will publish a draft agenda by 21st April - If anyone has a particular topic they would covered, just let me know before then

I would certainly allow sufficient time for any newbies to ask and learn as much as possible.

For anyone hanging around I am happy to host a bbque lunch at my place on the Sunday 17th to continue discussions or just 'chill out'
HI this is my first post and am extremely green on all this, i would love to attend this years mini so i can take in and ask as much as possible, I am a more hands on learner than reading a 101 manual as some of that goes way over my head but am keen to start to progress to light controllers pixel displays. unfortunately due to sporting commitments i can not make a saturday. So long story summed up, is it possible to have this on a Sunday :)
