advatek controller connection

hi everyone...im having trouble with an advatek pixlite 16, i lost connection to it so factory reset and started again, but i still cant connect, tried changing my ip to 192.168.0.10 255.255.255.0 but still cant find it, advatek assistant doesn't pick it up either, the ethernet port is flashing so its processing data from somewhere, anyone got any ideas?
 
Hi, Make sure the right network adapter is selected on your laptop.
 
I have tried both the adaptors in the dropdown menu and still no luck, maybe its a dodgy board, i have emailed advatek to see what they say, funny that i have two boards and one will connect the other wont.
 
Describe your network setup - I'm assuming
Code: 
router <-> switch <-> laptop
                + <-> Pixlite1
                + <-> Pixlite2

How is the working one set up? Manual IP address or set by DHCP?
Dang it! My formatting won't stay! Switch connects to laptop and both Pixlites.

thanks guys, ive been talking to advatek support and the board is going back to them seems there could be an issue with it.
