Hi All,
Been a lurker here for ages, finally got around to joining a week or two ago.
I'm a previously unsequenced Christmas light displayer, who is getting into LOR this year.
I'm putting together my first order during sale time at LOR, and have settled on the starter software kit with Basic+ and the pre-assembled PC-CTB16PC standalone card, with plans to add my own cordsets and enclosure.
That will take care of my AC lights, but I now need something for my DC lights. The DC's will be some BigW/KMart LED's (yes I sort of understand what I need to do about voltages and current limiting resistors) and also some dedicated 12V LED strips, but am confused about which card to control them - do I need the CTB 16D http://store.lightorama.com/ctcotrbowihe.html or the CMB16D http://store.lightorama.com/cmdedcca.html ??
I'm planning on controlling the whole show from a dedicated PC, if that makes any difference.
Many thanks
