I've previously claimed damage on household insurance when my mega tree was used as a swing - the repair bill was around $500...

The lights aren't specifically listed on the policy though!

thats actually not a bad idea seeing as a lot of people have thousands of dollars of stuff

I rang my insurance company and asked them if my lights could be insured, turns out the ladys parents did lights too, so i have them specifically listed on my policy for $12,000 and it didnt change the amount i have to pay every month either

I just contacted my insurance and outside items would be covered to 20% of my content amount.
