I know this thread has been done before a couple of years ago, however with minis fast approaching, I'd like to cover music editing as a topic, so would like to know what people currently use, or want to know more about.
There's a poll above but if you use Other, please let us know below what it is.
Also let us know if there's a specific task you'd like to know how to do in software.

I've used Audacity a little bit. I've also used Nero Wav Editor and Sony Vegas.
It depends on what I need to do, how fast I need to do it and how good the results need to be as to what I use.

We use almost exclusively Macs (yer yer, what Eva!) and have been using Garage band and Wave-pad...
These have, so far met our needs, but that was BBL (before blinky lights)...

We have been thinking of trying Audacity...

My parents are heavily involved in community radio and they use mix mister as their program/song player. Free software for me, but not the best to edit with, but gets the job done. Haven't used it for over 12 months or more.
