Ill be bringing down a few things for people to look at. Some of Ray wu's 2801 pixels, his RGB strings with no chip, the Stellascapes E16 (The older version which I won at the Melbourne mini -- grin), plus a few odds and ends.

OK guys this will be the final call on what you guys want to learn/see at the Sydney mini as i will start to put together the time line for the day and hopefully have it posted next week.

So please give feedback and also if your not in the list of attendees and you would like to come plese confirm your intentions so proper arrangements can be done like food and such (there will be a $10 to $15 cover fee for supplying food, drinks, coffee and tea)

The day is a great day and well worth just to come and meet and greet in face some of the names that you have come to know

Checked with Dave today. the venue is still confirmed.
Lunch is Confirmed, @ $10-15 a head. Dave will arrange on our behalf.
I will bring plenty of filtered coffee, and fancy teas
There will be two data projectors, and a screen.
I will bring a Digital video Camera so we can all see the Demos


Those that are driving a distance, if you want to stop at our house for a BBQ diner before you head home, the offer is there.

A question to those coming - in regards to Vixen (and LSP for the presenter there), what would you like to see shown. I will be using Vixen 2.1, with some discussion on 2.5 (maybe a demo there too). I thought:
New sequence, with or without profiles
Setting channel colors (Demo of a couple of ways)
Basic chases, and chases from clipboard (Demo of various types)
Quick & nasty intensity change & where you might use it
Different paste types, how and where you might use them
RGB calculator (a handy little item really)
waveform addin - why & where to use (with demo)
timing - 25, 50 or 100msec, why, limits etc. (With fade demo to show the reason)


What else would you like to see?

Hopefully we will get a meaningful LSP demo this time.

A couple of us will be packing digital video cameras, so someone will have footage, but it wont be streamed due to no internet connection there

Im trying to finalise things for the Sydney Mini and are putting out another request for anyone wishing to attend to put their name down, the more the merrier. The day will be a great day and there will be lots of information available so if you plan on attending could you please message me so we can ensure that all are well catered for

There will be demos and I will have a good range of RGB samples on display sent from Ray Wu. There will be 2 door prizes, 1 copy of LOR V2 and a 20 module 3 x 5050 RGB string with 3 channel DMX controller will be given away

$15 will cover the cost of the day including morning tea, lunch, coffee and tea and drinks

We have ensured that we have given plenty of time for discussion as many people have said that nothing beats the 1 on 1 conversations, so this is your chance to pick the brains directly of others in the hobby. It will definetly be worth the effort attending as im sure you will all walk away knowing something new.

Kool-Lights has also offered for those wanting to attend a barbeque dinner at his place after the mini, so please show your interest if your wanting to attend.

We would like for people attending the Sydney mini to bring something to show, it really doesnt matter what it is as it is always great to see someone elses creation or new gear.

Another door prize thanks to RPM, will be a Rev 2 USB DMX Dongle PCB, complete with SMT FDTI already mounted and a pre-programed ATMega.
