I could ask for a vote, but I know it would be bias.
But I just had to say... This is the best forum on the net!
I have been a member of many forums over the years (and still am) and to date I have not seen a negative comment on this site.
The sillier the question, the more helpful everyone is it seems.
I only say this as I have just copped some snide remarks from someone on another forum, not xmas related and not even car related surprisingly, and it got me thinking.
Car forums are the worst, I guess because of all the knuckle draggers on them, then there are specialist hobbies that appears they are only members so they can make sure you don't know as much as them, computers are high on the list simply because if you don't know what the hell they are talking about you are beneath them.

But then I come here and everything is all..... Christmassy :D

Its a simple philosophy in that we do this for a hobby, a hobby is something we enjoy, so the forum that is used to assist, socialize , educate and network should also be something that is enjoyed or else people would not return.
So ACL does not tolerate unsociable behaviour, bullying, trolls or anyone else that creates a negative experience for any of the members and what is so great is that the moderation team very rarely have to manage anyone.

I frequent plenty of car forums and they are different from one to another. It depends on the forum and how it is moderated I believe. Us petrol heads are not all knuckle draggers. It is a hobby most of us take seriously just as we do here. Building and renovation forums however have thousands of self proclaimed experts that seem to belittle newbs...

But plus one for me. ACL is one of the best forums around. .. :)

+1 for Scamper's comments here as well.
This is such a great forum to get help and I'm glad to be part of it.

I guess a lot comes down to the type of person that Christmas lights attract. In general they like to share things like their display as it brings great joy to the community, so they are happy to help others spread the joy as well.

If it was Video Games I would pick theaow.com cause I am an Admin there... ::)

But ACL is by far the best forums for my hobby and artistic talents. :) ACL wins hands down.

Woot !!! Back to building more props !!
