I have just purchased some 12v pixel strip from Ray and want to give it a good test before I start cutting it up.
Is it safe to run for a few hours while still on the reel or should I unroll it? After running for 30 minutes plus on the reel it is warm to touch and I am worried I may cook the pixels in the middle of the reel.

When I am testing pixel strings I leave them bundled but the individual pixels are further apart and heat buildup is not an issue.
