Hi all,

Regarding Falcon F16 (or most other?) controllers, does the channel count truly indicate the physical LED count? Or do i need to divide the channel count by 3 for the R,G,B parts of the LEDs?

For example, A Falcon port states it can control 1024 channels.
Does this mean i divide 1024 by 3 to discover that only of 341 RGB LEDs that can be controlled on the 1 port?

With the case of 16x ports controlling a total 16,384 (1024x16) channels, does this now equate to 16384 / 3 = 5461 physical RBG LEDs ???

Or, am i completely wrong and a port does in fact control 1024 physical LEDs?
(maybe the internals of the software knows that 1 LED equals 3x RGB segments).

Thanks in advance.

Katekate is correct. This is a limit that depends on the controller's settings. Each pixel is three channels; you would multiply the 1024 by 3 to get 3072 channels on the port.

Yes agreed, but that "3072" figure would strictly be an internal value processed by the firmware.
