Chat not working????

Earlier I kept getting a message that SMF couldn't connect to the DB. Fair enough, these things happen. Now the site looks like it's up and says 21 people are in chat but whenever I try going to chat I get a login screen that doesn't accept my password. Tried on multiple PCs and multiple browsers. Any idea what's up?
Obviously I'm logged in to post this but I get:

I get the same thing but at the bottom it say that chat has reached the max limit and I see 10 in chat.

Says it has reached its max amount of users.. Can't get in and keeps asking for user name and password...

I just got in about five minutes ago. Chat room has been acting squirrely lately...
It looks like it is up & running, but I just typed in "can ya'll see my posts?" and no answers. So I don't think it is working correctly
