No they are still Dull. I dont have the TP-3244 controllers yet so I havent been able to test them yet so yes they are still Dull ;)

I have them up on all the lines of the house now. Also have 1 string each on all of the 8 palm trees out the front and 3 on the Gum tree. It's going to look great once I am able to actually sequence it and make them glow.

Cant wait to see what sequences you do with yours.

@ Dmoore your show is "just" made out of bits of corroplast.. Hey you can buy that at any corner store, and it's common place..

Does'nt mean its not any good. Just for once, just enjoy the art.

It is amazing what some people can do with the simplest of materials and devices. I shall sit back and enjoy the art! :D After Christmas maybe.

I spent some time today sorting out the sequencing a bit.. I'm much happier with the result now, its looking much smarter. Its a bit like learning to play a new musical instrument.. Takes a few tunes to sort it out.. I'll take some new video on the weekend..

Some things I've learnt..

The black spaces are every bit as important as the ones that are lit.
Keep the stuff simple. They look better.

Oh, MrsPackethead has instructed that another 60 pixel strings need to be installed this weekend on the roof.. 60?? Yes... The staff are groaning!

Re: CHRISTMAS CHILLOUT: Controllers

Heres the controllers i'm using to drive the Pixels.

The E16 comes in a polycarbonate hi impact box, IP65 rated. Its got a Din rail inside which the power supply is secured to.

Ethernet comes in the left hand gland, and is terminated on an industrial terminal block ( din rail mount again ), which is tooless. I'm using grease filled UTP cable which is both outdoor rated, tough, and UV stable.

230 V comes in the glad next to it. The one in the middle is a breather valve to allow pressure equalisation between the inside and the outside. ( Very important ). It can be rotated so it can always point down, no matter which way you mount it.

Pixels connect via these 16 outputs via waterproof connections.
