Confused on DMX PAR light modeling / capabilities in xlights

Ah good point, I'm doing everything virtually in xlights at the moment while waiting for hardware to arrive. Is this shadow model + poly line something you can see on the pars on your preview?

Right now I can see effects on the polyline in the preview, but nothing appears on the dmx fixtures unless I add an effect to them directly.
