Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share an idea I picked up on another forum on how to shape your conduit to fit your coro arches.

I was trying to bend 20mm conduit into shape and then anchoring it with connectors and a crossbar. The arch was completely the wrong shape. I went for a scavenge around the local building site bins and found this piece of wood. I assembled the arch on top of it and sketched the outline. Then I screwed in a series of screws around the shape to hold the conduit.

Next I boiled the kettle and poured some hot water in the tube. While it was warm I pushed the conduit into the screw outline. Once it was in place I poured boiling water along the length of the conduit and then waited for it to cool. Then I grabbed a couple of 20mm connectors and added a crossbeam to the bottom. I poured a little more water near the ends of the conduit at this point to make sure it conformed to the right shape. I threw in some screws on the join so that it wouldn't pop apart and then left to cool. About 30 mins later pulled the whole thing off the board and it stayed in shape.

Finally I attached the coro arch pieces with cable ties and it all looks good now. Just need to paint the connectors and crossbeams.

Hope this helps someone else.
