I have made 2 of these to go on top of each of my ray trees. They have 130 sections of 12 volt strips in them. I will mostly use it as a 6 section burst .

That looks cool. Did you use dumb strip. I notice they don't change colour. I'm assuming that's just how your programmed it.

Do you have any internal photos.

I used 2811 12 volt strips, had to do a lot of cutting and soldiering. This video shows the pixlels.

Through programming i will mostly use it for like the examples in the first 2 videos.

Very cool, how big was it, and how much coro was involved with the various sealed compartments there? If you did it again would you strips again, or change to nodes?

It's always cool to see what a little imagination and a lot of hard work and time, what sort of things you can make.
And then once it's up you always get the "where did you buy that from"

The star is 40 inches at its longest part.

I will make a smaller version this weekend and take some pictures. The build concept will work no matter what size it is made.

I am very pleased with the way it turned out and it is fairly easy to build except for all the soldiering on strips, that was the worst part for me.
