Custom model wiring

Hi,

I am in the process of creating custom models, for my roof

There will be approx 20 custom models, which can be addressed individually, or as a whole group.

Each of the models will have 5 pixels wide, but the height may very between 14 to 19 high on some.

What would be the best way to setup the pixels, I can think of 2 options

1 - up and down each model, resulting being plugged in alternative top and bottom

2 - up and down, but need to run a data wire back to the top

This then makes me wonder which is the better way to number them in the custom model.

Consecutive numbering, up and down, for the 20 models or

Number each vertical line of pixels from the top down, starting at the top each time.

For sequencing effects is what would be the best practice.

Thanks in advance. Deblen

I would go with the easier wiring option being the continuous zigzag.
The numbering method used doesn't matter to the sequencer. It just looks at the physical position and doesn't care about the number associated with it.

Hi Al, thanks,

I will go with the zig zag for the models, and number each model in the zig zag, from 1 to how many pixels for each model, then start at 1 for the next model
