Data in and Out Ray Wu Pixel

G'day guys,


I posted on a Facebook group searching for the answer, nobody could seem to help. Which side is the data in and which side is the data out on ray wu's ws2811 pixels?


So far I can only find that there is an IC on one side, and a bunch or resistors on another...

i saw that post on facebook an responded..
there 12v pixels correct.. (getting info from second pic.)
so no ic side it.. 12v, data, gnd,.

On the pcb there should be markings Di and Do for Data In and Data Out. It's always best to look at the pcb and confirm the marking rather than assuming that the batches are all a given direction. With what I have seen of Chinese suppliers I wouldn't even bet that all of a string would be the same orientation.
If you have a look at the pictures of the bare pixels on http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2X50pcs-12mm-WS2811-Non-waterproof-Pixel-node-Module-Light-No-Wire-Addressable-5V/1738761484.html you can see the Di and Do markings.
