DMX Moving Head Issues - Help!

Hi, I have added a moving head to my light display this year as a trial, just the one. When I output to lights in xlights and run a sequence everything including the moving head performs as expected. When I run through xschedule the moving head does all sorts of weird stuff. Strobing, wrong colours, some wrong movement. I would say it acts like the sequence needs to be rendered - but I have done that multiple times.

Any suggestions? It has me stumped why it works fine when run straight from xlights, but not xschedule. Doesn't seem to be a hardware issue of any kind.

Everything else in the display is performing as it should, and this happens with the moving head on all the songs in my show.

Any suggestions appreciated. I feel it's probably something simple I am overlooking.

Not sure this is applicable, but I had a heck of a time with my moving heads that I added this year. I ended up needing to bulk edit and remap channels in the sequencer. But I don’t use x schedule, I’m on a Mac, so I just do FPP. But that’s my 2 cents.

Im stuffed if I know why, but after several days of this issue, I closed and reopened xschedule and everything is happy. Don't think I have solved the issue, given I have rebooted etc many times without impact, but for tonight anyway we are running! Will see what happens tomorrow night.

That's good. Yea, I'm not sure if the moving heads are worth it or not. I like the four I have, but not sure it's a priority to add more.

I only have 2 heads. I finally got them into my show Sunday night. Couple days ago I saw a post on FB about Tom BetGeorge's StarWarsMedley. I had that sequence from 5 years ago so I dusted it off and tried to import the moving heads. Unfortunately they were all done with On effects using percentages back then. His heads pointed 90 degrees different than mine and I couldn't get the Adjust Effect to work at the node level so I spent like 3 hours writing a Python script that converted all the Pan and Tilt commands into DMX commands and applied the rotation shift I needed as well as any other models that shared those effects I had to create a new entry in the effect database. Got it running in the show last night. In the middle of the sequence there is a fight scene and the moving heads act like light sabers.....it's pretty awesome. Its the first sequence I've had where I hear applause when it finishes. Its funny the sequencing isn't all that complicated for the rest of the house its a lot of whole house effects but everything is nicely timed to the music and the moving heads are the best I've seen from anything I've gotten in my show so far. I want 8 for next year.
