Completely dependant on the firmware for the controller....

From a practical buffering viewpoint you would always want to start an output at the beginning of a universe if you planned to span multiple universes to a single output.

This is just a decoupling of the DMX universe from the output port. Exactly what a ECG-P2 will be doing with 4 universes out a single port.

Yea, I was just wondering what this firmware does. I read the document that was posted in this thread, and it states 1 universe per string. I was trying to determine if that meant literally 1 universe, or 512 channels but any contiguous 512 channels.


I guess I have to reread the document, for I thought the document posted was for an ECG-P2. But my memory is no where what it use to be, so I will recheck.

All we need now is support of GECE and/or 2811 nodes.

Initial testing has shown that the 1804 protocol will work with the 2811
