I read from F16v4 manual/specsheet that the voltage required on external supply for the controller board is between 5~13v. However could not find the Amp or Wattage (power) requirement of the board. If it is 5v, or 12V, what is the recommended amps in each case?

It highly depends on what you plug into your board (eg expansion boards, receivers etc etc). The worst case seems around 3A @ 5v.

See manual under Controller Power

There are two options for powering the F16v4, as follows below. For either case, both the Power Selection Switch (Section 2.2.1) and Input Voltage Level Switch (Section 2.2.2) must be set properly before applying power to the controller. For either option, a minimum 2 Amp power supply should be used to power the F16v4.

The F16v4 is shipped with the switches configured for using 12V Power on the V2 Power Connector to power the controller. However, it is always recommended that you check and verify the correct configuration of the switches before applying power to the controller.

Thanks for the pointer, somehow I managed to miss that it indeed say "minimum 2 amp"
