F16v5 with SRx2 – correct wiring and configuration please

Got it, and now I understand what you're trying to achieve.

So - there are two issues I see here.

1. The problem you see where you assign the prop to a smart remote - and it's straddling regular (local) ports as well. I am pretty sure that this can't be done directly with visualiser then.....because it's trying to assign the whole prop to the smart remote setup, rather than just the port. I'm guessing you'll be working with the F16 directly and not uploading outputs.

2. The more important one strings 17-20 will be running on ports 17A, 18A, 19A, 20A from the falcon perspective, and 21-24 will be running on 17B, 18B, 19B, and 20B.
17A+17B = 1080 pixels, more than the allowable 1024 on a single port (and much more than the 680 allowed for 40fps)
18A+18B, 19A+19B, etc same deal.

So, I dont think you can do what you want to do with the kit you have.
The solution:
  • Grab three single receivers - dumb is fine - either the Falcon SRx1, Falcon NRx1 or say a Hanson one
  • Run the SRx1 in dumb mode (not smart mode), so setting 0 on the dial - the other two are already dumb receivers
  • Run out 3x cat5e cables from the first 3 differential output ports on the F16v5
  • Plug in receiver 1 to 17-20, the second to 21-24 and the third to 25-28.
  • In xLights, just drop your prop on port 1, let it overflow the strings to port 28, no smart receiver protocol, no funny configuration, just basic.
