no fix for the live update of e131 and incorrect voltage reading on v1 it seems
We have recently identified a problem in the field with the termination circuit on Falcon Smart Receivers.
The termination circuit is intended to be used on the last Smart Receiver in the chain. This means that any
Smart Receiver that does not have both of it's RJ-45 ports in use needs termination. Without termination,
the functional distance from the controller to the last Smart Receiver in the chain is severely reduced.
Effectively the termination jumpers (or dip switches in later revisions of the board) are not functional due
to a manufacturing defect. The 120 Ohm resistor specified in the design was populated with a 120K
Ohm resistor. eliminating the termination.
The good news is that there an easy fix for the issue. We are currently producing an additional small
circuit board that you would then plug into the spare RJ-45 port on the last receiver in the chain to provide
termination functionality instead of using the on-board jumpers/dip switches. The small circuit board will
have a RJ-45 jack and 4 120 Ohm resistors solder to PCB.
We will be providing these Termination Boards and a small 6 inch Cat5E cable to you free of charge
as soon as possible.

While you only need one of these circuit boards for the number of chains you have, since we don't
know how many chains you are running we will ship you one Termination Board per Smart Receiver
purchased. This will happen automatically without any action required from you.
