Finally got the mega tree planted

Well after a few setbacks, I finally finished the top ring for the Mega tree... as a welder i make a good grinder, and paint covers a lot of sins...

If I were welding that much I too would be making a hash of it... Maybe the first 4 or 5 hooks would look ok, then.......

Well my Mega tree finally blossomed today.....and I'm suitably impressed, if I do say so myself, might have to take a cutting off it, see if I can grow another one for next year...

Hey sorry for digging up an old thread, Whats the diameter of the pole you used fing? Looking at a similar design to yours.

Also do you have a pic of the top pully for your winch? Thanks Daniel

Hi Daniel,


it's 50mm OD Gal pipe. the top pulley is just an eye bolt thru the pipe with a pulley on it. nothing special

its attached to the top ring, which is raised by the winch. photos in earlier posts somewhere.
