Hi,

I run a Kulp K40PB with receivers. Disaster, I booted it up today for Halloween and it wouldn't connect to the network. I uses a USB to ethernet/WIFI hub. Tried a backup hub from 19 oat cake and tried the wifi usb direct, nothing. It just boots and says no network.

It's currently running 9.4 FPP, but I did notice that during my rebuilt that some shards of copper wire got deposited on the board, not a lot, just three strands but maybe that's killed it. Argh!

Any ideas on how test the network, any work arounds? Hard to self test when you can't access it. The BBB has a micro USB, not sure if I can piggy back that.

Anyone got a backup they are willing to sell in Aus?

I'm reinstalling FPP to the SD card 9.5.3 but I have a feeling this is hardware.

Do you have a POWERED usb hub? I'm wondering if the usb power switch on the K40 zapped and the USB port isn't getting the 5V power.

All fixed. Phew I was nearly having a melt down there!
I had one of those unpowered 3 USB and Ethernet hubs which worked for years but it seems to have died. I plugged it into my PC and the PC froze and wasn't happy. My really old USB adapter didn't work either, so bought a $15 J.Burrows USB-A to Ethernet Adapter from Officeworks and it connected. Yipee.
Never been so excited to see an IP address! :)
I thought I was up for a new controller. Found more copper wire all over the place too so gave it all a good clean out.
