I've never been too happy with the COB varieties (10W, 20W, 30W+ version):
So I rolled my own floodlights, with some improvements:

- The 10W isn't sufficient for a house-flood.
- The 20W/30W are okay, but require 27V+, but I don't want a separate PSU in my show.
- 50W/100+ require an active heat-sink (as well as even higher voltages)
- The light-spread for the COBs aren't controllable so a lot of the light-output can be wasted, ends up where you don't want it, or requires the flood to be placed really close to the house (resulting in unnecessary hot-spots).
So I rolled my own floodlights, with some improvements:
- 12V and each color is about 2A, so they can adequately be powered off a normal 12V, 5A port (as long as you're not using all colors at the same time). Each flood is basically just a single standard WS281x pixel
- I've added an Amber channel--really helps with getting better shades of orange
- They're based off CREE LEDs, and can be fitted with Carlco lenses (wide spot, medium, narrow spot, or elliptical). Making use of lenses/optics really helps control the output.
- Finding the right housing can be a bit challenging, but I've since found a reliable source that's smaller (and better quality) than what I'm showing below
