Floodlights - 30 Watt

Hello, quick question. I bought 6 30-watt floodlights recently. Do I need a DMX controller to connect the floodlights too? Or do I connect them to my Falcon F16v3 port?

This depends on the connectors they have. If it has an A/C plug, and DMX plugs, it might be DMX. If it has xConnect or Ray Wu, then it would go to the Falcon port. If you are not sure, post a picture of the plugs/cords/whatever it has.

Good thing I asked, I was wondering if you had bought different flood given your questions about LOR previously.

I see these are WS2811 protocol.
They can be anywhere in the chain of pixels. Just think of them as a string of 1 pixel.
WS2811 is a protocol the Falcon F16v3 can output.

A string of 1 pixel that will try to suck half the power / amps out of your port (assuming 12V, 5A fuse on the port).

Yup, 30W is a lot of power to to consume.
Likely power injection/separate power supply would be needed.

I have some I got from ray wu, and I run them on a port on their own with no pi with no problems.
