Getting closer to testing my mini mega

Here is a short vid on my topper cap and pully setup. I decided to use the film tube over my main pole to have the option to use pixel strip in the pole.

The 3ft black section will be cemented in the ground . just below the sod with a cap.

well some good news , I managed to get my mega tree pole up and tested tonight .

I have an issue with the top ring getting stuck about 3 ft from the top , you can see it at the .02 mark of the video.

I will fix this and get the lights on in a couple of days .

i was shocked at how many people stopped to gawk in amazement .

Well this mega tree I have built has been a challenge to say the least . I finally resolved the pulley -lift issue i was having .
5 pulleys later and it works like a dream , however I have 1 last hurdle .
The 50 ft cable is now 4 ft to short with the serpetine configuration to accommodate the pulley layout.
The first thing I noticed when testing this new design was how effortlessly the the topper cranks up .
Being that the lift ratio is 4:1 with 1 guide pulley at the top.
I will take pictures and video in daylight .

Not sure if any one is interested but here is my final post on this topic .

I would like to share a daylight pic of 1/2 the tree up for testing .

going to add 2 more ft. in height .

the pole lights up beautifully and the strings align real good .

again i would like to thank all on this forum for all your help .
