Greetings to All,
My name is Rick and I'm new to this site. I've been intrigued and fascinated by these type of displays for years and have finally decided to jump into it and start doing it for myself. After hours of research, and trying different programs, I've settled on using xLights. Haven't quite gotten to the music software as of yet.
After deciding on xLights and watching many of those great tutorial videos ACL members have posted, my next step is going to be building the displays. Over the last few weeks I've created drawings of the displays (created scaled drawings using Microsoft Visio), after Christmas I'll start building the jigs for them, then away we go. I am an Electrician by trade, so the wiring is the easy part.
So far this site has been fantastic. I look forward to being a long term member of this community and will help where ever I can.
