Hi

I am having a struggle getting my second differential receiver board working.
I have only just decided to get it tested and ready after purchasing it quite some time ago.

I am using a Kulp K8-PB controller which works fine and is connected to its own 5v power supply.
My megatree is about 15 metres away so I have set up an enclosure with 2 more 5v power supplies and 2 power distribution blocks.
Each block and differential receiver is connected to 1 of the power supplies.

The issue I am having is that any string plugged into any port of receiver 2 just has the first led lock on green.

When testing I switched the ethernet cables and the same 8 ports still work and the led is still locked green.

The working board is a v2.0 and the non working board is v2.1.
I thought it may have been a common ground issue so I wired from the Kulp controller ground output to the other 2 power supplies ground outputs but got the same result.

I know the string is testing fine because when I connected to to an sp105e tester it works and if plugged into one of the working ports on board 1 they also still work.

So I don't think it's the data output or software based and I am at a loss as to why it isn't working.
Have attached photos of my outputs in FPP and Xlights which have been rendered and uploaded.

Anything else I can try? The ld01 on board 2 is lit and there it measures 5.05v at the input connectors.

Can you change the numbers for ports 1 and 2 in FPP and see if the green led follows the port or the settings?

Semi solved. I followed your suggestion and discovered the tested working lights now behave the same on one of the tested working ports.
So it must be light related.
For now I'll replace it with newer strings so I can move on.
Haven't worked out why my lights which used to be working and work with the tester are behaving like this but that's a problem for another day.
It appears both boards are working correctly.
