Hi everyone,

We are working on a project using the Falcon F16V4 controller and have run into a problem. Our goal is to:

  • Record sequences in xLights (exported as FSEQ files to SD card).
  • Play these FSEQ sequences locally on the Falcon using the Player/Playlist feature.
  • Trigger these recorded sequences via an Anytronics AnyScene 512 Scene Recall Unit (installation manual attached).
The issue is: as I understand it, the Falcon must be in Player/Master mode to play back FSEQ files from the SD card. But in this mode, the controller does not appear to accept or “listen” to DMX commands (from the AnyScene unit).

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to use DMX input from the AnyScene controller to trigger FSEQ files stored on the Falcon?
  2. Do I need to use two Falcon controllers (one as DMX-in, the other as Player) to achieve this?
  3. Or is there another recommended method to achieve triggering FSEQ files using the AnyScene recall unit?
I know Falcon has 4 local Inputs which can be mapped to actions (Play, Stop, etc.), but in this case that is too limited for the client — they specifically want to use the AnyScene recall unit, which was already approved.

Any guidance or recommendations you can provide would be very helpful.

Many thanks,
Ihor Ivasiv

I'd look into FPP (Falcon Player) to receive the trigger and play the FSEQ and send DDP to the F16v4
