Hi, New member from Parkes, NSW

It would but no-one seems to be sure about the restrictions on where you can cut it. The listing says it can only be cut in 1 metre increments but we're not sure if that's 100% correct. Might be worth a try as it might work if you just leave a minimum of 1 DC-DC converter per metre.

5V strip works well for cluster elements. It's a bit cheaper, it can be cut anywhere and the 5V voltage drop isn't such a problem when you're dealing with a large number of pixels in a small area near their power source.

You also have the option of higher density 12V strip but that would be BRIGHT.

Thanks, I did see a video talking about cutting strips with "buck converters" Is it the same thing?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyIPgvVRjM4

That's the INK strip which Ray also sells. Judging by the listing I think they're powered similarly but I haven't seen the WS2812B version in person.

Thanks for all the advise everybody :D , Ill be posting on specific topic forums from now on to get into more detail. Cheers
