HTTP Virtual Display

i have watched the video that is based on FPP 6.
i have FPP 9.1
i have setup the HTTP Virtual display

it is picking up my background image, but is not showing any lights

i have a file called virtualdisplaymap - which seems to get updated every time i run FPP Connect from xlights

im trying to run this on a player only, not the FPP intances with the actual lights attached

as its the player it should show me what is happening ?

any ideas
