Hello everyone!
My name is Juan and I'm writing from Los Barrios (Cádiz, Spain). I've been reading the forum for a while and learning so much from all of you, and it's about time I introduced myself and started participating.
I'm passionate about technology and DIY. Professionally, I work in construction and also run a small business doing laser cutting in acrylic, but in my free time I love tinkering with electronics, home automation (I have my whole house running on Home Assistant), and now I've fully dived into the world of addressable LEDs.
My current project: I'm setting up a Christmas display on my balcony with almost 4,000 WS2815 LEDs, controlled by a Falcon F16V5 and configuring everything in xLights. It's been quite a challenge, including having to diagnose and replace a faulty SN74HCT573N chip in the controller (luckily it was socketed, so no soldering needed - just pop out the old one and insert the new one!).
I'm here eager to learn from those of you with more experience, share knowledge, and help wherever I can. I have some questions about the physical mounting of the strips that I'll ask in the appropriate section.
Greetings and happy to be part of this community!
Juan
