Is 27th Jan in Oz "National Sickie" Day.

Any small to mid sized business with half a brain would tell their workers to either have a unpaid day or take it from holiday pay and nave a long weekend.
 
Luckily for me no work tomorrow but yeah if was so! would have to decline my daughter s 21 birthday today and Saturday big party no time for working here only at home lol
 
Told boss I was taking day off to preempt the sickie, bet at least one of the other guys will just take a sickie
 
boss said , You are taking the day off ( minus 1 day from holiday stockpile)
had 7 phone calls from customers before 8.00am- oops
anyways boss wanted day off for himself so we all have to take one
oh well, his business.

serves boss right, paying us to do sweet FA... we never get courtesy long weekends if public holiday lands during the week.
 
Well typically I work night shift so I can look after my son during the day while the Mrs works and then we swap. However today the Mrs had the day off so I am working during the day hahaha, makes a nice change.
