yes on network , but my battery socket on cape is faulty with a broken clip that holds the battery. so hoping to use network

The network "should" be automatic - irrespective of the battery. Does the FPP instance see the internet?
Under Tools -> Troubleshooting commands, there is a section on Time/NTP - can you screenshot that one and shoot it here? It'll show whetehr it's working.
It usually takes a minute or two after boot for the time to 'correct' itself.

Yep so you're clock is synchronized and working fine.
From your screenshot, we can see we are synchronized to Telstra's time servers - the * highlighted in blue shows us this.
Based on your post, the screenshot looks like it was taken 2 minutes earlier - the clock is showing 2:07pm Sydney time (which is 3:07am UTC - green)

When the configuration is blank (Override default NTP server) it will use the default Falcon Player NTP systems.
The clock takes about a minute or two after boot to synchronize. So - if you're powering on your controller really soon before your show is due to start, you might want to do it a couple of minutes earlier.
